Backbending stimulates the central nervous system as well as increases the mobility of the spinal column and the muscles that support the spine.
Learn basic anatomy to understand the movements of your spine, then prepare the body with movement, before creating space around the chest, shoulders and upper back with with myofascial release techniques.
Play with props while refining, aligning and learning how to assist. This class will deepen both our understanding of and experience with opening your heart through yoga!
Expect to explore a variation of prone, supine, standing + seated backbends as well as some super FUN and accessible transitions in and out of backbends!
Suitable for all levels of students - there is always something for everyone.
Minimum Students for Maximum Learning. Limited to 12 .
