The early hour of the morning is the traditional time to practice yoga; referred to as the Golden Hour as the sun hovers on the horizon at the start of a new day.
Committing to an early morning practice is a wonderful way to welcome a new day, helping to stimulate metabolism, balance hormones and set a mindful tone for the day ahead. Yoga IS a accumulative practice, it's benefits are BEST obtained by committing to a a regular consistent practice.
A series of SIX classes held over TWO weeks, specifically structured towards learning the elements of hatha vinyasa yoga, a union of breath and movement.
Flowing sequences are accessible for EVERY body to develop awareness, build strength, and create clarity.
Using physical and verbal alignment queues, students will learn:
Pranayama (breath work)
Surya Namaskara (known as Sun Salutations)
Foundation Standing Postures
Bandhas - Establish Core Awareness
Seated Postures & Twists
Backbends & Inversions.
Each of these elements are sequenced together to culminate in a flowing vinyasa: a moving meditation.
Our beginners series will inspire and nurture absolute beginners or refine and deepen basic skills and alignment for students with an existing practice or returning after a break. Experienced instructors encourage the use of props to make the postures accessible to ALL bodies.
