21 June

2.5 hours ~ $45

Many traditional cultures used winter as a time to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.  The solstice has been observed for many thousands of years, as long as people have marked time by the skies, and it’s a wonderful time of year to retreat inwards and reflect on the wonders of nature.

Honouring the seasons and the changes taking place in nature allows us to tap in to our own inner wisdom and this year, our Winter Solstice also happens to fall on the same date as International Yoga Day!

So not only are we celebrating the winter solstice – an astronomical phenomenon that occurs each year in June as the Earth orbits the Sun. It is the shortest day of the year and the longest night; and the point at which the earth begins her long, slow turn towards the light. We are also celebrating the light of our own inner compass and the light of yoga.

Enjoy a restful, fully supported 90 minute restorative yoga practice, followed by a delicious 30 minutes of yoga nidra.

To compliment our practice, we’ll conclude with nourishing, warming afternoon tea + refreshments.

All levels + abilities welcome.
