Frequently Asked Questions

I'm Pregnant. Can I start yoga?

Our pre-natal yoga classes are suitable for absolute beginners, and because they're gentle you're welcome to start at ANY time - prior to 12 weeks is fine. Pregnancy classes can be started at ANY time during your pregnancy and it's safe and adviseable to  practice all the way up until your baby arrives.  If you were not doing yoga prior to your pregnancy, we do not recommend starting a general yoga or flow class during your pregnancy.

I'm not very flexible, so I can't do yoga.

Yoga is for every body, flexibility is something that develops as you practice yoga.

The more often you practice, the more results you will see.

Never been to a yoga class before?

Then you may have a few questions.

Here are some common ones, but there's no such thing as a silly question, so don't hesistate to get in touch!

Are men allowed to do the classes?

Most definately! Yoga was originally developed BY MEN FOR MEN! Men are welcome at any of our drop-in classes or beginner courses - whether you are new, experiened, young or old!

I've never practiced yoga before, do I need to do the beginners series first?

No, you are welcome to join any of our classes, a SLOW FLOW or a YIN class are a good place to start.  However the beginners series will provide the skills to get you started and is a good way to refresh your skills if it's been a while since you've been on the mat.

What should I wear to my first yoga class?

Clothing which is lightweight and that you can move easily in. Bring a jumper or long sleeved top to wear for savasana (relaxation).

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

Please bring one if you have one, otherwise we have complimentary Manduka studio mats. During the warmer months, we do ask you to bring a towel to place over the studio mats and to wipe down mats after they've been used.
