30 Hour Prenatal Yoga
Teacher Training

Bloom Yoga's 30-hour Pre-Natal Yoga Teacher Training is truly a labour of love; born from our own lived experience as mothers and practitioners along with 15 years of prenatal and postnatal teaching expertise.  Discover a feminine + nurturing approach to teaching prenatal yoga classes that support women and mothers on their journey through motherhood.  

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Prenatal Anatomy + Physiology for each trimester

  • Pregnancy + Birth as a Spiritual Practice and Transformative experience

  • Learn and apply contraindications and variations for each trimester

  • Plan and sequence prenatal flow classes for all trimesters

  • Incorporate the use of props in teaching and classes

  • Utilise appropriate language and cues for pregnant students

  • Understand modern birth culture + how this applies to pregnancy yoga

  • Use asana to strengthen, energise and stabilise the different needs of pregnant women

  • Prenatal specific pranayama, visualisation and meditation techniques

  • Integrate sound, mantra and mudra into prenatal yoga classes

  • Benefits of yin + restorative practices for pregnant women

  • Practice pain coping techniques using asana

  • Learn Active Birth philosophy and techniques

  • Observe real-time prenatal yoga classes

Learn how to apply yogic wisdom for an empowering pregnancy

Yoga much like motherhood is a journey of self-discovery and surrender; the wisdom of yoga teaches us to lean into this transformative time.

Learn how to:

  • Develop confidence and ease in connecting with pregnancy students with varying levels of practice experience

  • Create an inclusive welcoming space from which to share pregnancy yoga

  • Provide appropriate assist

  • Apply new found skills to teach within the specialised prenatal yoga niche

  • Practice prenatal flow and restorative asanas

Sunday 21 July 9am - 5pm

Accreditation + Certification

To graduate from the 30 Hour Prenatal Training you will complete:

  • Self-Paced Online Prenatal Introductory Module: 4 hours

  • 6.25 Hours of Prenatal Yoga Class Observation: in-person or online

  • Case study, Assignments + Book Review

 

Upon completion of course content and assignments, course participants receive a 30 Hour Prenatal Yoga Certification

30-hours towards CPD with Yoga Alliance International and Yoga Australia

Meet Sara Evans

Senior Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist + Perinatal Yoga Specialist

Sara credits the birth of her two children and her yoga practice in the years leading up to their conception as the inspiration for becoming a prenatal yoga teacher; a journey which has become her life's passion. 

As a new mother, Sara leaned into her own yoga practice through online home practices which provided an anchor in the chaos of mothering.   Drawing on her experience as a mother, student and teacher Sara brings a unique embodied approach to yoga for the modern mother. 

Since 2009, Sara has supported thousands of women through yoga at her bespoke Perth yoga studio, Bloom Yoga Room.  As a member of Yoga Australia, Sara is a Level 3 Senior Yoga Teacher with more than 15 years expertise as well as a qualified Yoga Therapist, Teacher Trainer and Birth Educator. 

 

Sara's warmth and willingness to share is just one of the reasons she's considered by many in the Perth Yoga community to be the foremost authority on yoga for pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  Within her classes she shares a wealth of wisdom as a mother, teacher and student of yoga in an authentic way.
