Yoga for Active Birth Workshop Perth

Yoga for an Active + Empowering Birth

Active Birth makes use of a woman's natural physiological instinct to move freely through labour and birth.

Yoga for Active Birth is an interactive antenatal education applying yoga postures, movement and breathing techniques for labour and birth; the birth partner learns practical ways to assist by holding space, utilising massage and advocating on behalf of the mother.

Your Body is Designed for Birth

Birth is not something that we passively partake in - it requires us to be fully ACTIVE - in mind, in body and in spirit!  Yogic practices provide a insight and awareness of how to move through your labour feeling confident, calm and empowered

Birth is a natural, normal process that unfolds best when undisturbed

Bloom Yoga's antenatal workshop Yoga for Active Birth is an opportunity for mothers, expectant parents and birth supports to become educated and informed of ways in which to support and assist one another while learning the physiology of natural birth through a combination of information, lectures and practical tutorials presented over 3 hours.

Both the mother and her birth partner explore hands on practical yoga postures helpful for different stages of birth such as standing, squatting, lunging, all fours and resting postures, as well as utilising yogic breathing and mindfulness skills especially for labour and birth.

Learn to reframe your expectation of pain, discover practical tools to manage pain in labour including touch, movement and massage while also understanding how your brain, body and hormones are designed to support a labouring woman's body and mind.

Couples join our studio workshop receive a colour printed booklet to take home with practical revision tools and information as well as complimentary access to our online workshop with a wealth of practical content and resources.

CHANTAL

My partner and I participated in Sara's Active Birth Workshop at Bloom Yoga.
It was highly informative and tailored to our knowledge base. There was a great balance of theoretical and practical information, and plenty of opportunity for questions. The workshop provided insight into the process of birth planning, and how we as a couple can work together during the stages of labour and birth.
